Recently, the National Standardization Management Committee website published the National Standards of the People’s Republic of China Announcement No. 13 of 2012, GB/T 28490-2012 "Button Classification and Terminology" and The three national standards GB/T 28491-2012 "General technical requirements and testing methods for buttons, natural shellfish" and GB/T 28492-2012 "General technical requirements and testing methods for buttons, copper" were released on June 29 and will It was officially implemented on November 1. These are the first three national standards drafted by the National New Zealand Standards Committee since its establishment in 2008, achieving a breakthrough in the "zero" button national standard. The promulgation of the standard has solved the lack of button industry standards to a certain extent, and the status quo that some button products have no standard to follow.
It is understood that Zhejiang Jiashan Daysun, known as the "Hometown of Buttons in China", has 780 button production companies with a total output value of 6.5 billion yuan and an annual output of 50% of the country. It is one of Jiashan's leading industries. In recent years, the industry has been plagued by the lack of relevant standards, which not only caused the export of products to be blocked, but also brought a heavy blow to the button industry, and made the button industry unable to become bigger and stronger. Since the New Zealand Standards Committee settled in Jiashan County, Zhejiang, the Jiashan County Quality Supervision Bureau has worked with the New Zealand Standards Committee and related companies to formulate 9 button standards. The relevant person in charge of the New York Standards Committee stated that the promulgation and implementation of these three button standards not only standardize the market environment, but also accelerate the transformation and upgrading of the button industry. Under the circumstance of ensuring that the domestic quota for button products will increase unabated in the coming year, product exports are expected to increase by more than 80%. Although the implementation of the standard will cause some products to face suspension of production, and may even lead to the elimination of some enterprises, this is also a "booster" for the button industry to break away from disorderly competition and achieve steady development of the industry.
It is reported that the New Zealand Standards Commission currently has 6 new standards including "General Button Technical Requirements and Testing Methods for Unsaturated Polyester Resin", "Button General Technical Requirements and Testing Methods for Zinc Alloys" and other 6 new standards are currently being submitted for approval.
